TikTok has quickly become a huge social media platform, but it’s also relatively new. People are still learning how it works and trying to understand its algorithm. So no, it is not too late to start posting content on TikTok. Whether your goal is to reach new customers, become a full-time content creator, or to just have fun, here are 12 tips that will help you grow your TikTok account.

Balance quantity and quality

It’s important to make sure that the content you’re posting is interesting and engaging while being consistent. The more you post on TikTok, the more likely you are to gain traction on your page and the higher your chances of going viral.

Many marketing and TikTok gurus say you should be posting 3 to 7 times a day. However, that is not realistic for everyone. It is important you figure out what works best for you. And how many times a day you can realistically post a video on TikTok. It is far more important to remain consistent. Even posting just one video a day every day is better than posting 10 videos once or twice a week, then getting burnt out and not posting for the rest of the month. Do not set up yourself for failure by setting these incredibly high standards, stick to something you can be consistent with and go from there.

The content quality is also important because most users can tell if you’re not really interested in what you’re doing. They also don’t want to see low-quality videos when there’s so much content that has high-quality video, transitions, and production.

Your content doesn’t need to be perfect, but you should be proud of what you’re producing and publishing. And most importantly, you should always be providing value to your audience.

Promote your TikTok account on other social media platforms

A great way to grow your TikTok is to promote your videos on your other platforms. Reposting your TikTok videos on platforms like Pinterest and Instagram Reels can give you more exposure to different audiences across platforms. Also, it is important to note that your video might not perform well on TikTok, but it might go viral on Instagram Reels.

However, if you’re reposting your TikTok content on Instagram, it may be better to remove the classic TikTok watermark. You can use a simple tool like SnapTik to download your videos without the watermark.

On the other side, you should also have your TikTok profile include your other social media links to encourage users to follow you on those other platforms. You can make it go both ways! You can do this by creating a page on Beacons and adding all of your links for social media accounts, shops, etc. Then place your Beacons website in your bio and you’ll be able to redirect your audience to multiple places.

Choose a niche and stick to it

When you are trying to grow on Tik Tok it is very important to create content around one niche. Why? Because this way, your audience will know what to expect from you. Picking one or two niches can be hard, because you might be interested in so many different topics.

However, this doesn’t mean you will stick to that niche forever. It’s temporary until you grow your account. After that, you can slowly expand to different niches and talk about all the things you’re passionate about.
